Healthy Beauty Benefits

Baking soda is also known as sodium bicarbonate. It is a component of the mineral natron and is found dissolved in mineral springs around the world.  When mixed with water, baking soda softens dry skin and acts as a mildly abrasive exfoliator, which means it strips away the top layer of dead skin without any harsh chemicals that can damage the skin. It prevents bacteria from multiplying, opens pores and absorbs excess oil from the skin.

Citric acid is an alpha hydroxy acid obtained from citrus fruits. When applied to skin, citric acid can slough off dead skin cells and speed cell turnover to promote new skin growth that reduces the appearance of age spots, acne scars, small wrinkles and areas of uneven tone and texture. Fizzes when added to water.

Jojoba oil is obtained from the seeds of the jojoba plant. It is an excellent moisturizer and does not block the skin’s pores. It is suitable for all types of skin because it restores normal oil balance of the skin and is hypoallergenic. Jojoba oil has a striking similarity with that of sebum, an oily substance secreted by the oil glands present under the skin surface. This gives the soft and smooth texture to skin and hair. Rich in vitamin E, jojoba oil is a natural antioxidant that prevents the onset of wrinkles. Jojoba oil reduces skin inflammation, kills bacteria, prevents dandruff and keeps hair strong and healthy.

Essential Oils are concentrated oils containing aromatherapy compounds from plants to enhance and stimulate your senses.

Aloe is derived from the leaves of the Aloe Vera plant. It provides hydrated, soft and glowing skin. Aloe Vera has properties that kill bacteria and reduce skin inflammation. It is also a natural skin exfoliator, with the ability to penetrate into the skin to transport healthy substances through it.  It contains vitamins A, C and E, antioxidants that reverse the degeneration of the skin by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. This reduces fine lines and wrinkles and rejuvenates the skin for a smooth, even complexion. Aloe Vera also reduces excessive production of the sebaceous glands to reduce oil production on the face. This reduces the outbreak of acne and pimples, while healing lesions and removing blemishes like acne scars and dark spots effectively.

Vitamin E (tocopherol) is derived from natural sources, such as palm oil, soybean oil, avocado, wheat germ and vegetable oils. The health benefits of vitamin E come from its antioxidant properties. Antioxidants remove free radicals found in toxins such as air pollution — These free radicals damage cell structure that leads to cell decay. Vitamin E oil reduces the appearance of scars, acne, and wrinkles because it speeds up cell regeneration to help the skin look younger, healthier and fresher. Vitamin E oil also benefits the skin by helping it to retain its natural moisture content and keep skin smooth.

Witch hazel is made from the leaves and bark of the North American Witch Hazel shrub. It is a gentle astringent that minimizes the size of skin pores, locks moisture into skin, repairs broken skin, reduces swelling and fights bacteria.

Mica Mineral Powder is a natural pigment derived from minerals added for coloring.
